Glossary

Allocation — A wallet's share of the Stock Token units actually funded in an epoch: floor(Q × laneWeight ÷ totalLaneWeight).

Base weight — KILN balance × seconds held during an epoch. Token-time.

Boost — min(10, 1 + burned USD ÷ held KILN USD), using burns from the last 30 days. Frozen at epoch close.

Dead address — 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD. Where burned dust goes. Nothing comes back.

Delivery — A confirmed Stock Token transfer to your wallet. The only thing that counts as a payout.

Dust — An unwanted ERC-20 balance on Robinhood Chain. Priced with DexScreener. Never KILN, a Stock Token, ETH or flagged spam.

Effective weight — floor(baseWeight × boost). What the allocation uses.

Entitlement — The cumulative amount of one asset owed to one wallet. Never decreases.

Epoch — Six hours, UTC-aligned: 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, 18:00.

Finality — The confirmation policy an epoch must meet before publication. Default: 64 confirmations and the batch posted to Ethereum.

Holder budget — 90% of the fees Kiln actually receives. It buys Stock Tokens.

Kiln — The protocol. Also, "the kiln": the treasury process that buys and sends stocks.

KILN — The token. Plain ERC-20 on Robinhood Chain. Fixed supply. Not backed by anything.

Lane — One Stock Token you chose to receive. Pick one to four.

Manifest — The kiln-manifest/1 document: root, epochs, every entitlement, totals, digest.

Merkle root — A single hash that commits to every entitlement in a manifest. Published to the RewardDistributor.

Operations reserve — 10% of the fees Kiln receives. Pays conversion, gas and delivery.

Pons — The launchpad on Robinhood Chain where KILN is planned to launch. Its 3% trade fee funds the kiln.

Position — A token worth more than $25. Burnable, after a confirmation.

Preview / stand-in — The pre-launch state of kiln.cash: a stand-in token drives live data for testing. Marked Test token · Pre-launch.

Receipts — The page at kiln.cash/proof: fees in, costs out, stocks bought, shares set, stocks sent.

Reforge — The burn feature. Send dust to the dead address; get a boost.

RewardDistributor — The contract that holds published roots and pays claims. claimFor pays only the wallet in the leaf.

Robinhood Chain — The Ethereum layer-2 Kiln runs on. Chain id 4663. Gas is ETH.

SIWE — Sign-In with Ethereum. Proves you own a wallet so your lane picks can be saved. Never authorizes a transfer.

Stock Token — A tokenized debt security issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited that tracks a stock's price. Economic exposure, not equity.

Withheld allocation — An entitlement Kiln does not deliver because delivery would be unlawful where you live. Recorded and disclosed, never silently dropped.
